HuangChengGen Primary School, located at the foot of the ancient Forbidden City, is the former Three Banner No. 6 Primary School, Internal Affairs Ministry, which was established in 1904. In 1906, it was renamed Beiyang Public No. 2 Primary School, one of the earliest public primary schools in China. From 1958 it has been called Huangchenggen Primary School.
